U.S. court rules tariffs on dozens of nations unconstitutional

What President Donald Trump dubbed a day of liberation was met with resistance from America’s justice system, which blocked his tariff policy against all of the country’s trade partners. The U.S. Court of International Trade in New York ruled that the President had overstepped his authority by imposing tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and more than 50 other nations, stating that such measures fall under the authority of Congress.
