Trump threatens more sanctions if Russia, Ukraine can’t agree on ceasefire deal

As the war between Russia and Ukraine presses on in its third year, the White House continues to boast its role in aiding peace talks between the two countries but in his second term, U.S. President Donald Trump’s relationships with the leaders of those countries has changed significantly.

As the President plans for more meetings and discussions with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine to take place, experts note the difficulty Trump is having in bringing these two sides together.

President Trump and his team are expanding their tactics for finding a deal threatening more sanctions against Russia if progress towards a ceasefire with Ukraine is not made.
