Surprises and shocks mark first round of NBA draft

It was a night of surprises, shock, and a few predictable outcomes during Round One of the NBA Draft. The first pick off the board was none other than Duke sensation Cooper Flagg, selected by the Dallas Mavericks. Meanwhile, Rutgers blue-chipper Ace Bailey didn’t go as high as many had predicted, falling to the Utah Jazz, a team he did not work out for before the draft.

Here in Canada, the Toronto Raptors stunned the NBA by selecting power forward Collin Murray-Boyles, who was just as shocked by the pick as anyone else.
