Hamilton hero SGA leads OKC Thunder to first NBA championship

The Oklahoma City Thunder have cemented their place as NBA champions with a game 7 win over the Indiana Pacers Sunday night.

It’s a first for the team since it relocated, and a first for the leagues MVP and Hamilton, Ontario hometown hero, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

This was such a close series no one could have predicted back in October and while many are delighted to see OKC win, it’s hard not to feel sorry for Tyrese Haliburton and the rest of the Indiana Pacers.

With that out of the way, we will have to wait until October for the ’25-’26 season to begin.

In the meantime, OKC’s championship parade is set to go,  that’ll kick off Tuesday and likely make for quite a party.
