Carney’s Liberal government secures second confidence vote

The Liberal budget lives to see its third vote of confidence on the 17th, after passing its first hurdle on Thursday and its second on Friday.

The minority government now remains two seats shy of a majority after a Conservative MP crossed the floor to join the liberals earlier this week. But a new development from another member of parliament is raising concerns about the capacity of the federal party leader, Pierre Poilievre.
