Canada’s battle against tariffs from the Trump administration is seemingly far from over.

Despite Justin Trudeau’s attempt to mitigate the harsh economic measures, the President announced Sunday he had intentions of imposing import taxes on all steel and aluminum entering the country, including from Canada.

Monday evening, he signed the executive order.

So far, Trump has said the tariffs on steel and aluminum will be set at 25 per cent, and has cancelled exemptions and duty-free quotas for major suppliers, including Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
