A train derailment in northern India has killed more than 100 people.
A passenger train rolled off the track in northern India, near the city of Kanpur, early Sunday. Rescue workers had to use cutting torches to try to pull out survivors.
Kanpur is located in Uttar Pradesh state, nearly 300 miles southeast of New Delhi, the nation’s capital.
Rescue crews in the state have been seen scouring the wreckage for survivors.
Reports out of the region suggest more than 150 passengers were injured, more than 40 of them are in serious condition.
It is unclear what caused the 14 car passenger train to fall off the tracks.
