Despite the fall like weather today, there was plenty of sweat at the Valens conservation area.

About 100 members of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry put there skills to the test for the annual ‘Tough Soldier’ competition. What’s known as the “exercise resolute riley” marks the beginning of the Infantry’s fall training.

The winning team will receive the Nicolazzo trophy, named after Master Corporal Frank Nicolazzo, a popular member of the Infantry who died in a traffic accident years ago.
