Do your research

Check out your favourite stores online and sign up for their email lists to find out what deals and promos are happening. Hamilton’s CF Lime Ridge has a promo page that lists upcoming retailer promotions so definitely a good resource to learn about the deals for Black Friday.

Set a budget and a game plan for yourself

Make a list of the things you are looking for, if you don’t do this you can end up completely overwhelmed and making purchases you don’t really need. This will help keep you on track and you won’t have any buyer’s remorse. Setting a budget can also stop us from impulse buying.

Head out early

This is a great way to get “door crasher” deals, the best selection and to avoid big crowds. You know the saying “the early bird gets the worm!” It’s true!

Dress for Success

Black Friday is like a workout so you want to be comfortable! Make sure that you wear comfortable shoes like a flat ankle boot or cute sneakers, layers are great (leave your heavy coat in the car so you don’t overheat!) and a cross body purse is key, keep those hands free for shopping!

Check out the entire store

Often we head to the back of the store for the “Sale” or “Clearance” area. On Black Friday there are discounts and promos happening everywhere within the stores. Keep your eyes peeled or you may miss out on an amazing deal! There are over 180 stores to choose from at CF Lime Ridge so lots of wonderful opportunities to find great deals from all your favourite brands.
