The Tiger-cats hope to storm past the Argonauts tomorrow night in the Labour Day rematch in Toronto. Natalie Marconi reports on an explosive Tiger-Cat receiving combo – Terrence and Tiquan – “TNT”.
Practice has been over for at least twenty minutes, and “almost” everyone has left the field. Tiquan Underwood is one of a few still out there. Running through plays, making catches and constantly improving. “What you put into this game, that’s what you’re gonna get out on gameday.”
Underwood, and his fellow first-year Ticat, Terrence Toliver, have each been called a “freak of an athlete” by their teammates. Toliver now leads the Ticats with 589 receiving yards and five TD’s,
While Underwood has racked-up over 3-hundred yards and scored his second touchdown of the season on Monday. Each player has several years of NFL experience. They’re also fast, and tall giving zach collaros an incredible catch radius. “We pass the ball a lot. It’s a lot of running, man. So it makes the NFL game much easier. I tell you, this game is much harder than the NFL, just from experience, what i’ve seen. It’s fun though, I love it.” said Terrence.
Underwood hails from New Jersey, a Rutgers alum. While Toliver, a Texan, attended LSU. Two very reputable schools, with plenty of talented alumni playing professionally. But there’s a lot to be said for the work ethic they also instilled in their students. Tiquan explained “We put in a lot of hours, just learning. We had to learn the playbook and playing with Zach, he’s a veteran of this league now. He helped us a lot. He’s been able to shorten the learning curve for us guys.”
