The Ontario Provincial Police have charged three individuals following a stabbing at the Hagersville Quarry on Concession 12 Walpole that sent one person to hospital.

The assault happened on Saturday just after 9:00 p.m. Following this weekend’s investigation, OPP determined that the victim was confronted by three males at the quarry. They say the victim and suspects were involved in a verbal argument. It escalated and the victim was stabbed several times with a brandished edged weapon. A second victim intervened to assist their friend and they were also assaulted.

The three male suspects had fled the scene on foot but thanks to a witness report police were able to locate and detain the men.

The Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit have charged 18-years-olds John Herod and Unone Heron of Brantford for Assault. They will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.

They have also charged 19-year-old Delyor Warren of Brantford for Assault, Aggravated Assault, Posession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and Disobeying court order. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.

The victim was transported to an out of town hospital by paramedics with serious injuries. They are expected to recover from their injuries.
