Thorold gas station takes to social media asking customers to stop taking their frustrations out on staff

First Published:

Record gas prices have many frustrated, but one gas station chain in the Niagara region says customers need to stop taking it out on attendants.

Gales gas bar in Thorold took to social media after an angry customer lashed out at staff, over prices that are out of their control.

The owner and CEO of Gales gas bar in Thorold, Jessica Friesen told CHCH that customers shouldn’t disrespect attendants over it.

Friesen says a man called in threatening a gas attendant after he was angry that the needle didn’t move when he put in 20 dollars worth of gas in his truck.

The CEO of Gales says they don’t have much control over the price of gas and the attendants certainly don’t set the price.

Kelly Botelho has the details.
