Third 17-year-old charged in summer murder on west Hamilton Mountain: police

First Published:

A third arrest has been made in the murder of a 19-year-old man in Hamilton’s west Mountain last summer.

Two 17-year-old males have already been arrested and face charges in connection to the murder, which happened overnight on July 19 at a plaza parking lot on Limeridge Rd. West.

Police say there was a planned meeting between two groups of people — one from Hamilton and one from Peel Region — to settle an ongoing dispute.

They say the group from Peel was ambushed and three were taken to hospital with various injuries.

One person, 19-year-old Ali Mohummad, was found dead.
