Thief steals $1,400 worth of merchandise from Port Colborne drug store

Niagara police are looking for a man in his 30s after roughly $1,400 in merchandise was stolen from a drug store.

Police were called to a business in the area of Clarence St. and Catharine St. in Port Colborne around 10:45 a.m. on April 16.

Investigators learned am employee tried to stop a man as he attempted to flee the store with the merchandise. The thief was able to get away but the stolen products were recovered.

Police are hoping members of the public can help identify a man who was captured on a surveillance camera.

He is described as white, 30 to 40 years old, six-feet tall with a medium build and a moustache. The man was wearing light coloured running shoes, black pants with white stripes, a black, heavy coat and a black and white toque.
