Thief on bike wanted in St. Catharines armed robbery

Niagara police are investigating after a variety store in St. Catharines was robbed at gunpoint.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the Easy Mart on Pelham Rd. and Chetwood St.

Police say a man wearing dark clothing and a bandana covering his face arrived at the store on a bicycle.

The suspect entered the building and showed he was armed with a gun.

He jumped over the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on the bike.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators.
