Three teens have been rescued after spending 2 hours high over the Welland Canal overnight.
A 16, 17, and 18-year old were sitting on the steal support beams under the Allanburg Bridge when it rose to allow a ship to pass about 12:30 this morning.
The three were screaming and managed to get the attention of crew on the ship. Seaway officials and firefighters thought it was too dangerous to lower the bridge again, so firefighters from Niagara Falls trained in high angle rescues went up and harnessed them to the steel beams before lowering the bridge.
None of the three were hurt, but they all face charges including mischief.
Phil Perkins has more.
