Residents are on edge, after a teenager was shot and killed in a Hamilton housing complex last night and so far no one’s been arrested.
The family of Shariek Douse says it’s the second time he’s been shot at in the same nieghbourhood, but this time his wounds were fatal.
Douce was killed around 8:30 Wednesday night at a community housing complex on MacNab Street North near Simcoe Street. Witnesses say they heard 3 gunshots, and saw a teen in a red shirt running away.
“Right now we are doing everything we possibly can to put everything in place to find out who is responsible for this crime.” Says Constable Steve Welton from the Hamilton police.
Many people we spoke with in the neighbourhood say the violence here is a growing concern.
