A St. Catharines teen is facing a slew of charges after police seized a rifle and ammunition from a hotel room in Niagara Falls.

Police say officers were at a hotel in the area of Ellen Ave. and Centre St. on Monday for reports of a robbery.

While on scene, they received information that a firearm and drugs were in an unrelated room at the hotel.

Police say officers discovered a Chiappa Little Badger .22 calibre break action rifle and ten rounds of ammunition.

Ethan MacNeil, 18, was arrested at the scene.

Police proceeded to search MacNeil and say they found drugs suspected to be blue fentanyl, cocaine, and cocaine. They also located nearly $2,000 in cash.

MacNeil is facing several drug trafficking charges as well as weapons-related charges.
