Taxi driver assaulted in downtown Hamilton

Hamilton police are searching for a man and woman after a taxi driver was assaulted in the downtown core.

It happened shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday near Main St. and John St.

The driver was taken to hospital by emergency crews after he was punched by one of the suspects.

Police say nothing was stolen and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information that could help is asked to contact Hamilton police.
