Suicide prevention

First Published:

On March 4th many people watched anxiously as police talked to a woman in distress on a Hamilton overpass. Eventually, the police were able to rescue her. While it’s a subject CHCH News doesn’t often report on. CHCH News decided to show what happened and what training is available for ordinary citizens who want to be ready in case they need to help speak to a person in crisis.

Matt Ingram has the details

If you are interested in taking suicide prevention training you can contact the mental health association.
CMHA Hamilton: 905-521-0090

If you are in crisis yourself and are contemplating hurting yourself please call the crisis outreach and support team or call the Barrett centre.
