Hundreds of kids gathered for a 5K Run4Change on the waterfront trail at Hamilton’s Bayfront Park this morning, raising funds to end child poverty and obesity.

Start2Finish hosted their 7th annual big bash, honouring the change young Hamiltonians are making for youth in need. Mayor Fred Eisenberger joined the celebration to encourage the runners.

“It’s spectacular to be here at Bayfront Park and have an army of Hamilton kids ready to energize do a run and raise some money for a good cause which is poverty in our community, providing school suplies and backpacks for other kids who couldn’t otherwise afford it. They’re our future and I’m happy to see them here.”

Start2Finish provides local and national running and reading programs, to empower kids across the country.
