St. Catharines woman charged in human trafficking of teenage girl

A St. Catharines woman is facing human trafficking charges involving a teenager girl.

Niagara police arrested and charged 38-year-old Tasha Lynn Summers on Monday with four offences, including trafficking in persons under the age of eighteen years.

Officers said the investigation involved incidents that happened this June in St. Catharines.

The victim is now in a safe place, police said.

Summers was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in court yesterday.
