SIU investigating after multi-vehicle crash in Milton sends three to hospital

The Special Investigations Unit is investigating a collision in the Bronte St. S and Derry Rd. area that took place involving a car police were following in connection to a break and enter.

Early reports say the Halton Police were called to a break and enter at 188 Main St. E around 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 13.

Shortly after, officers spotted a Honda Fit connected to the crime and started to follow it.

In the area of Bronte St. S and Derry Rd. the Fit got into a collision with two other vehicles.

Reports say the 21-year-old male driver of the Fit was extricated from the car and transported to hospital with serious injuries.

A 31-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man from one of the other cars were also sent to the hospital.
