A movie shot in Hamilton is leading this year’s Oscar nominations.
“The Shape of Water” received 13 nominations for next month’s Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress and Best Original Screenplay.
The Guillermo del Toro fantasy romance is set in Baltimore during the Cold War but was filmed in Hamilton and in Toronto.
Del Toro, who picked up a nomination for Best Director, has previously gushed about Hamilton calling the city a “powerhouse” of creativity.
“Dunkirk” is next on the list with eight nominations.
The Second World War drama picked up nods for Best Picture and Best Director for Christopher Nolan.
“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” follows with seven nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Original Screenplay.
The romantic comedy “The Big Sick” is also in the running for Best Original Screenplay, as well as Best Supporting Actress.
