Shania Twain apologizes for Trump comments

Shania Twain has apologized after telling a British newspaper she would have voted for United States President Donald Trump if she were eligible.

The country singer said she would have voted him because he seemed honest, despite being offensive.

Twain’s comments were met with both praise and condemnation online, and prompted the Timmins-native to apologize in a series of tweets Sunday night.
