Search called off for missing Canadian woman

First Published:

47-year-old woman is feared missing in the Atlantic off Florida.
The woman, who has been identified only as a Canadian but has not been named, was travelling from Freeport, Grand Bahama Island to Port of Palm Beach, near West Palm Beach, Florida.
Her boyfriend alerted cruise ship personnel as it was about to dock Wednesday morning.
He says he’d left her at a gift shop around 1am while he went to a casino before returning to the cabin and went to sleep but when he awoke, he says she wasn’t there.
Crew aboard the ”Bahamas Celebration” searched but didn’t find her.
The U.S. Coast Guard was notified and looked but also couldn’t find the woman.
