Rubik’s Cube turns 40 on Saturday

The Rubik’s Cube turns 40 this weekend.

The popular puzzle was invented by a Hungarian professor named Erno Rubik in 1980. It was originally designed as a teaching aid for his architectural students.

The cube has sold more than 450-million units worldwide.

The pandemic lockdown has made the puzzle even more popular, with social media posts tagging #cubeathome.
