Rosslyn Retirement Residence working to bring back residents

First Published:

There have been 8 deaths of people living at the Rosslyn Retirement Residence due to COVID-19.

The Rosslyn Retirement Residence is working to bring back residents as early as Monday according to public health officials.

A spokesperson says a deep cleaning is done and has been deemed acceptable.

St. Joe’s Hamilton continues to care for 31 patients from the Rosslyn, and an official says when they leave St. Joe’s, some of them will require a higher level of care than a retirement home, and the hospital is helping facilitate that search.

For those able to go to a retirement home, it will be their choice where they wish to go and the hospital will help and support them with their choice.

Dale Manucdoc has the details.
