Ride-share driver sexually assaulted in St. Catharines

Police are looking for a man after a ride-share driver was sexually assaulted by a customer in St. Catharines.

The sexual assault happened between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Monday in a cemetery.

The female victim was assaulted by the armed man in a white Nissan Altima.

The woman suffered minor physical injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

Detectives are still searching for the suspect. He is described as a 34-year-old white man with short brown hair and forearm tattoos. He was wearing a red shirt, dark pants, and a red backpack.

The investigation has determined that there may be a possible witness.  A white man was seen walking through the cemetery with a black dog at the time of the sexual assault.
