Rescue group says more than 300 cats found in Toronto apartment

First Published:

A Toronto rescue group says more than 300 cats were found in a “perilous hoarding situation” on Saturday.

Toronto Cat Rescue says it worked with Toronto Animal Services to remove 70 of the cats from an apartment in Toronto.

The City of Toronto advises no more than a maximum of six cats in one home.

Toronto Cat Rescue says the 70 cats that were removed are doing well in their foster homes.

The group says all of the cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and observed by their foster home for behaviour and medical issues. They will then be placed up for adoption.
