Repatriation ceremony for six fallen CAF members in helicopter crash

A repatriation ceremony will be held this afternoon, at CFB Trenton, for the six Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members killed last week in a helicopter crash off the coast of Greece.

The remains of Sub-Lieutenant Abbigail Cowbrough will be welcomed home. The other five service members missing and presumed dead are Captain Brenden Ian MacDonald, Sub-Lieutenant Matthew Pyke, Captain Kevin Hagen, Captain Maxime Miron-Morin and Master Corporal Matthew Cousins. They will be represented with military headgear resting on pillows to be carried by fellow military members. The remains of one other person have been recovered, but have not yet been identified. 

Highway of Heroes ceremony

A repatriation ceremony for the six Canadian Armed Forces members killed in last week’s helicopter crash will be held at CFB Trenton today at 2:30 p.m. A procession will then travel along the Highway of Heroes to Toronto.
