Remains found in Brantford this summer are not modern: police

First Published:

Brantford Police say the suspected human remains found this summer are not recent and have no forensic value.

The initial discovery was made on Aug. 5, in the area of Glenwood Dr.

At the time, police said they were investigating and were scheduling a coroner’s examination.

Police now say that exam has determined that the remains are “not modern.”

The investigation has been transferred to the Registrar of Burial Sites, War Graves, Abandoned Cemeteries and Cemetery Closure.
