Fans of the “Red Green Show” which started at CHCH, flocked to Mr. Used in Hamilton Sunday for an auction to take home a piece of Possum Lodge.

The “Red Green Show” finished 9 years ago and hundreds of props and set pieces have been on display at Mr. Used since.

Len Wareing owns the shop. He’s planning to downsize. But he let show creator and star Steve Smith take home his favourite props first.

“Oh a lot of emotion as he went through everything, picking things.. you could tell he was thinking of the memories. All the shows he put on”

The director of the show Bill Elliot made an appearance to reminisce about his time on the Canadian comedy.

“Absolutely the most fun I’ve had on a TV show ever in my life, great cast, great crew and you couldn’t have wanted a better production to be apart of.”

Fans went home with wardrobe, signs and yes…duct tape.

While it was sad for Mr. Used to say goodbye to the memorabilia, he’s glad there are now pieces of Possum Lodge spread around to carry on the show’s legacy.
