Exclusive look at the new asphalt on the Red Hill Valley Parkway

First Published:

The northbound lanes of the troubled Red Hill Valley Parkway are set to reopen Wednesday afternoon.

After being closed for three weeks, the resurfacing is complete. Despite all the rain we saw over the last few weeks, crews are only one day behind schedule.

Re-surfacing of the southbound lanes between the QEW and the Linc at Mud Street and Stone Church will begin on Friday at 10 p.m. It should take another 3 weeks for those lanes to be completed.

Today Nicole Martin got a first look at the paving.
