Nav Bhatia, also known as the Toronto Raptors Superfan was at Mohawk College Wednesday night speaking to students about the hardships he faced when he first immigrated to Canada. It’s part of the college’s ongoing focus to celebrate diversity across all campuses.
The man who once mopped floors and cleaned toilets is now worth tens of millions of dollars and his message was that faith, race, sexuality can’t stop you from achieving your goals if you always try your best.
In 2018, Nav launched the Nav Bhatia Superfan foundation which aims to unite people through basketball. The non-profit foundation is building basketball courts and creating youth programming throughout the country.
