When a raccoon on a 10th floor balcony in downtown Hamilton was faced with being caught or climbing down, the animal decided to go over the edge.

A Hamilton based wildlife company posted a video on Youtube, showing workers approaching the raccoon but when they do, the animal climbs up on the wall and then over to the side of the balcony.

The worker then says, ‘She’ll climb all the way down’, and indeed she does.

It takes a while but the raccoon holds on to the bricks the entire way and eventually makes it back to the ground safely.
