Queen’s Park question period continued today

First Published:

Still waiting for an apology from a NDP MPP for alleged racially inappropriate behaviour towards a PC MPP, the Progressive Conservatives opened up the line of communication during a much more calm question period.

Twenty-four hours ago, the PC’s vowed to refuse any questions by the opposition until NDP MPP Gilles Bisson apologized for allegedly mocking Pakistan-born PC MPP Kaleed Rasheed off-camera during question period.

But before today’s question period, despite not receiving an apology, the PC’s reversed course.

While debate resumed, some PC’s are still convinced that Bisson was inappropriate, but official opposition leader Andrea Horwath says Minister Bisson has nothing to apologize for.

Today’s question period didn’t feature such heckles, and some opposition members may have an idea as to why.

When asked where the Premier was, Christine Elliot said Doug Ford was attending other meetings.
