There is no indication of anyone being curious enough to taste it, but a batch of Royal chocolates from over a century ago has been discovered in an English attic. They were found in their original packaging in a helmet case from the Boar War. Commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1899, they were meant to boost the morale of soldiers fighting in South Africa. Now 121 years later, they were discovered by the owner’s daughter after he died last year at 100 years-old.
