Prince Philip admitted to London hospital

First Published:

Prince Philip has been admitted to a London hospital, Buckingham Palace confirms.

The palace says the Queen’s 99-year-old husband was admitted to King Edward the Seventh Hospital Tuesday evening as a precautionary measure because he wasn’t feeling well.

The Duke of Edinburgh has only been seen a few times since he retired from public duties in 2017 and has been with the Queen at Windsor Castle for much of the pandemic.

He is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest.
