Positive Covid-19 case at Niagara College

Niagara Region Public Health is advising residents that a member of the Niagara College community that a has tested positive for COVID-19.

Public health says individual last attended the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Monday, October 5th. They are currently in self-isolation.

Niagara College has assisted Public Health with contact tracing and anyone who is deemed to be at risk will be contacted directly. Public health says that if they do not reach out to you, you are not considered to be at risk.

In the news release the college says their campus is safe to attend and that they have implemented the necessary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19.

They add that the individual who was infected passed the daily online health assessment that was required to be on campus on October 5th.
