Port Colborne man facing impaired driving charges in deadly crash

A Port Colborne man has been charged with impaired driving in a deadly crash in Wainfleet.

Emergency crews were called to Lakeshore Rd. and Camelot Dr. around 11 p.m. Tuesday for a single-vehicle rollover.

Niagara Regional Police officers found a pickup truck on its roof with two people inside.

One of them, a 25-year-old man from Port Colborne, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man, also from Port Colborne, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver was located on scene and was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Brocque John Cote, 20, faces charges including impaired operation causing death.
