Police seize $500K of drugs from Stoney Creek home

Hamilton officers investigating a domestic issue found half a million dollars worth of drugs inside a Stoney Creek home.

Officers began an investigation into Michael Joseph Dalia on Monday.

The 37-year-old was wanted for a long list of charges including assault, criminal harassment, forcible confinement and theft.

He was arrested on Wednesday and a search warrant was executed at his home.

Officers seized over half a million dollars worth of street drugs including blue and orange fentanyl, heroin and cocaine.

A replica airsoft handgun and $120,000 cash were also seized.

Michael Joseph Dalia and two other occupants living in the residence were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
