Police seek suspects after attempted theft of ATM in Norfolk County

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating an attempted theft of an ATM in Norfolk County.

Officers say they received a report of an ongoing theft on Tuesday at a business around 2 a.m. on Albert St. East in Langton.

Upon arrival, police found “thieves” had tried to pull the ATM from inside a vestibule using a chain and a pickup truck.

Investigators say it was a failed attempt as no cash was taken, but the ATM sustained considerable damage.

Police say they are looking for three suspects who were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts. It is reported that they fled the scene in a dark-coloured pickup truck.
