Police searching for man wanted in Niagara robbery

Niagara Police are searching for a man after a suspected robbery that left one person with minor injuries.

Officers say the man entered the Central United Church in Welland just before 7 p.m. on July 4.

Police say the man went into the church kitchen, allegedly physically assaulted a staff member and took some “kitchen items” before fleeing the scene.

The identity of the suspect is unknown.

Police are asking anyone with information to call police or Crimestoppers.
