Police make arrest in theft investigation in Niagara

A Welland man has been arrested in a police investigation into a series of ATV thefts in Niagara region this month.

Detectives identified a suspect after finding a stolen ATV at a residence in Welland.

Police executed a search warrant in the area of Forks Rd. E and Nugent Rd.

They recovered an ATV and a sport motorcycle that had been reported stolen.

Jeff Ward, 33, was arrested on Monday.

He’s been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000.
