Police investigating alleged sexual assault of four-year-old girl in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional police are investigating after a four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in the common area of an apartment building in Kitchener.

The incident happened Saturday evening around 8 p.m., when the girl was playing in the building.

Police say a man approached the girl and allegedly sexually assaulted her. She was taken to hospital and has since
been released.

The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 5’10 to 6′ tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a white baseball hat and grey striped T-shirt.

Waterloo police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man seen in surveillance video in order to determine if he is related to the incident or can provide further information.
