Police investigating after shots fired on Hamilton Mountain

First Published:

Hamilton Police are investigating what they say was a targeted shooting on the mountain.

Police received several 911 calls of shots fired in the area of Elgar Ave. and Limeridge Rd. W around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Shell casings were found at the scene but there was no victim.

Police say a man arrived at St. Joseph’s hospital with gunshot wounds a short time later.

Bullet holes were found on the vehicle.

Police say a 26-year-old man has non-life threatening injuries.

Area residents are being asked to check security cameras for any suspicious activity.

Police were called to this same area in August, for reports of a drive-by shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
