Police investigate home invasion in east Hamilton

First Published:

Hamilton police are investigating a violent home invasion in the city’s east end.

Officers were called to a home on Robins Ave. around 5:40 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the victims had allegedly posted a photo of themselves flaunting cash online.

Investigators believe a group of people saw the photo and went to the home under the guise of purchasing drugs off the residents.

One of the victims was struck over the head with a silver revolver while the thieves demanded they hand over their belongings.

The resident began to fight back with a baton and chased the suspects out of the home.

Another person inside the house suffered a minor head injury and a third person was uninjured.

Police are looking for three white men between the ages of 18 and 21.

The first suspect is six-feet tall and was wearing a grey sweater, grey pants, running shoes, and a black baseball cap. The second is roughly five-foot-nine, with a reddish-brown beard and was wearing a red sweater and ripped blue jeans. The third is five-foot-five and was wearing a black hoodie.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.
