Police investigate armed robbery at Burlington pharmacy

Halton police are investigating after a Burlington pharmacy was robbed by two armed men early Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart at Guelph Line and New Street for reports of a robbery.

Police were told two men wearing ski masks entered the pharmacy around 3:30 a.m. and stole an undisclosed amount of narcotics.

One of the suspects appeared to have a gun and the other was carrying a baton.

Members of the K9 unit were brought in to search the area but the suspects were not found.

Police describe the suspect armed with the handgun as male, Hispanic, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, heavy build, 200 to 250 lbs, wearing a black hoodie with a black & white bandana, dark pants, black gloves and white shoes.

They say the suspect armed with the expandable baton is described as male, white, 6′ tall, thin build, 150 lbs and was wearing a dark toque with a beige bandana covering his face and black golves.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Halton police.
