Police execute search warrant at Brantford motel, 2 arrested

Two people have been arrested after police seized drugs, cash and stolen credit cards from a motel room in Brantford.

Police executed a search warrant at a Colborne St. motel on Jan. 6 as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

Officers located methamphetamine, fentanyl, a digital scale, a bulk amount of cash, drug packaging material and multiple stolen and fraudulent credit cards.

Derek Winter, 44, was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose, four counts of possess – credit card data, and failure to comply with judicial release order.

Police also arrested and charged 27-year-old Jesse Carter, of Hamilton, with failure to comply with judicial release.

Both have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
